About Our Speaker

Lisa Waldron - Dietitian

Lisa Waldron holds a master’s degree in Dietetics, a Post Graduate Certificate in Eating Disorders and completed further training in intuitive eating and health coaching. She worked in Specialist Eating disorder services for over 6 years and has experience in the NHS and private practice. She has contributed to national guidance on eating disorders and teaches on a BDA course and held the role of Professional Development officer for Eating Disorders for the Mental Health Specialist Group.

Although not Vegan herself Lisa has developed an interest in veganism through her eating disorder work. When Vegan version of the eatwell guide was published in 2020, Lisa recognised that there was a gap in resources for those trying to recover from eating disorders while following a vegan diet and felt the new eatwell guide did not meet this need. She built on the work of UK and Australian dietitians to develop the Vegan R.E.A.L Food Pyramid, a practical visual resource for dietitians to use to support clients in recovery from eating disorders.

Lisa brings her passion for nutrition and exercise to all aspects of her work and focuses on supporting individuals to develop a positive relationship with food, movement, and their bodies. She uses a holistic approach and considers the wider factors influencing health and wellbeing in her work. She shares information on @lisawaldronrd where she explores evidence-based nutrition and building positive relationships with food.
